Privacy policy

The short version: the numbers you type into the calculator stay in your browser and aren’t sent to us. When the site shows ads, Google and its partners use cookies to serve them, and you can control that.

Who we are

This website, realwage.io, is run by Zohair Razvi (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at zohairrazvi62@gmail.com.

Numbers you enter into the calculator

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your salary, hours, costs and any job names you type are processed on your own device and aren’t sent to our servers.

So that your comparison is still there next time, the calculator saves it in your browser’s local storage, along with one display preference (whether “Show the math” is open). This data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Share links and images

If you use “Copy link”, your comparison is written into the link itself, after the “#” sign, so that anyone who opens it sees the same numbers. Job names are included only if “Show job names” is switched on. We don’t receive or store these links, but anyone you send one to can see what’s in it.

When a shared link is opened, the page takes the comparison out of the address bar straight away, before anything else on the page runs, and keeps it only in that browser tab (in session storage) until you go back to your own numbers or close the tab. Opening a shared link shows that comparison without replacing your own saved one, unless you choose “Keep this one”.

Share images are created in your browser and only leave your device if you post or send them.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the service that hosts this site may record standard technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages viewed, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use this information to identify you.

Advertising

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When it does:

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you’ll be asked for consent before cookies are used for personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. If you decline, you may still see non-personalized ads, which use cookies for purposes such as limiting how often you see an ad and preventing fraud.

Ads are kept separate from the calculator. We don’t pass the numbers you enter to Google or to any other advertiser, and because shared comparisons are removed from the address bar before any ad code loads, the page address that ad code can see never contains them.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information held about you, such as the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to how it’s used. Because the calculator doesn’t send your numbers to us, we usually hold no personal information about you at all. For information Google holds in connection with advertising, use the links above or Google’s own privacy tools. To ask us anything about your information, email zohairrazvi62@gmail.com.

Some U.S. states treat the use of personal information for personalized advertising as a “sale” or “sharing” of it. Where that applies, Google’s consent tool shows a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on the site that you can use to opt out, or you can opt out in Google’s Ads Settings.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, or under 16 in some countries, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
